In writing

In a few words

A good domain name is short, easy to say and easy to spell. Try saying it out loud to a friend. If they cannot write it down correctly, it is too tricky. Avoid hyphens and numbers, because people forget them. A .com is the most familiar ending worldwide, and an ending for your country, such as .co.uk, is a good choice if your customers are mostly in one place.

Words explained

Ending: the last part of a domain, such as .com or .co.uk.
