In writing

In a few words

A theme is the design of your website. It controls the layout, the colours and the fonts. You can change it at any time, and your pages and posts stay where they are. Always click Preview first, so you can see how it looks before you switch.

My recommendation

I recommend GeneratePress. There is a free version you can try straight from your WordPress dashboard, and a paid version with extra options if you want them later. You can find out more here, GeneratePress (affiliate link, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you).

Words explained

Theme: a ready made design for your whole website.

Activate: switching a theme on so visitors see it.

LairdSkills is under construction

I'm still building the lessons, so some pages are placeholders for now. The full courses are coming soon.

You're welcome to look around while I finish.
