Follow along

Steps

  1. Use a page for things that stay the same, such as About, Services and Contact.
  2. Use a post for things that are dated, such as news, tips and blog articles.
  3. Posts appear in a list with the newest first. Pages do not.
  4. Create one of each so you can see the difference.
In writing

In a few words

A page is for things that stay the same, such as your About page or your Contact page. A post is for things that are dated, such as news or tips, and posts appear in a list with the newest first. If you are not sure which to choose, ask yourself whether it will still be true in a year. If so, it is probably a page.

Words explained

Page: a part of your website that stays the same, such as About.

Post: a dated article that appears in your blog list.

I'm still building the lessons, so some pages are placeholders for now. The full courses are coming soon.

You're welcome to look around while I finish.
