In writing

In a few words

Everyone makes mistakes when they write, so always check your work before you publish. Leave it for a while, then read it out loud. Where you stumble, the reader will too. Cut any word that does not earn its place, and check names, numbers and links. A quick tidy up makes you look careful and trustworthy.

Words explained

Proofread: reading your writing carefully to find mistakes.

Trim: cutting out words you do not need.

LairdSkills is under construction

I'm still building the lessons, so some pages are placeholders for now. The full courses are coming soon.

You're welcome to look around while I finish.
