- Write one sentence that says what the page is for.
- List the three or four things the reader needs to know, in the order they will ask them.
- Put the most important point first.
- Cut anything that does not help the reader. You can always save it for another page.

A short plan saves you hours. Start with one sentence about what the page is for. Then list the few things your reader needs to know, in the order they would ask them. Write the plan first, and the words will come much more easily. Anything that does not fit the plan can go on another page.
