  1. Start with a heading that says what you do and who for, in plain words.
  2. Add two or three short sentences underneath that explain how you help.
  3. Show a few things you offer, each with a short heading and one line.
  4. Finish with one clear next step, such as Get in touch.
In writing

In a few words

Your home page has one job. In a few seconds, a visitor should know what you do, who it is for and what to do next. Put the answer in the main heading, explain it in two or three short sentences, and finish with one clear next step. Everything else can wait for other pages.

Words explained

Home page: the first page most people see on your website.

Next step: the one thing you want the reader to do, such as call you or fill in a form.

LairdSkills is under construction

I'm still building the lessons, so some pages are placeholders for now. The full courses are coming soon.

You're welcome to look around while I finish.
